Councilman Hawkins spoke to the graduating class of 2009 at Valley High School in regards to voting. The Councilman stressed the importance of voting for not only state and national officials but local officials as well. After congratulating the seniors, the Councilman handed out free gifts to those who were already registered to vote. For those students who were not registered to vote, they were given the opportunity thanks to Councilman Hawkins and the Jefferson County Clerks Office.
