Meet Kentucky Kate

cow.jpg

Bring the kids out to meet Kentucky Kate, a life-size, fiberglass cow to find out where milk comes from.
It’s FREE, educational and fun! You can learn how to milk a cow, collect “Got milk?” stickers and color at the Market. Kate is owned by the Kentucky Milk Producers Association (KMPA); a non-profit group consisting mainly of dairy producers.

Kate is set up on a wheeled base and travels in her own customized cattle trailer. She has traveled all over Kentucky and has participated in school agriculture days, county fairs, parades, June Dairy Days, and regional festivals. Kate  has become a regular attraction at the Kentucky State Fair and at the North American International Livestock Exposition.

We hope you can join Councilman Doug Hawkins this Saturday at the Southwest Farmers Market!
